About Metatron Danke Green Energy Pvt Ltd
MDGEPL is a private company incorporated in the year 2009. At its helm is a highly successful, influential and visionary entrepreneur. The entrepreneur has started various business ventures, both in India and abroad and has provided attractive returns (either through a sell out or an IPO) for investors.

Over the years the entrepreneur has become a highly influential person in the Indian society and is a well known personality within the industry and the government. His contacts with both the central and the Gujarat state government is expected to be a key component for the successful execution of the proposed wind farm project since it aids in expediting the clearances and paper work required. The entrepreneur has an ambitious vision of making MDGEPL the number one player in the renewable energy sector in India. The proposed 100 MW wind farm project in Gujarat, for which MDGEPL signed the MoU with the government of Gujarat during the “Vibrant Gujarat” investor meeting in 2009, is expected to be one of the bigger projects in the state.

Further, in order to fulfil its vision to become the number one player, MDGEPL has lined up renewable energy projects in many states in India for which it has filed the necessary applications with the respective state governments and is in various stages of completion:

10,000 MW of Solar Power in the state of Karnataka (for which the government has given the in principle approval and the work on the first phase of 100MW has already started)

120 MW Small hydro project in Sikkim in the north-eastern part of India

1000 MW Solar power plant in Rajasthan, in the north-western part of India
MDGEPL has been approached by Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited – SJVN (formerly Nathpa Jhakri Power Corporation Limited – NJPC) for an equity investment in the proposed project and is willing to participate with a minority stake. SJVN is a JV between the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh and was incorporated in the year 1988 with a focus of installing, operating and executing hydro electric projects. It currently has an installed capacity of 4500 MW through various Hydro projects in India and abroad (Nepal and Bhutan). It has plans to add set up an additional 5000MW capacity by 2014-15.

Some of the key strengths of SJVN which it could bring on board for this project are as follows:

Significant expertise in setting up and managing large power projects in the past

Skilled manpower to operate the wind farm

Contacts with the key government agencies to anticipate regulatory policy changes
The expression of interest from a state owned company like SJVN further reinforces the attractiveness of the proposed project and the confidence the company has on the MDGEPL.
